Visiting Dubai between April and August can be surprisingly hot with the temperatures ranging between 38-48 degrees Celsius (100-118 F).
For those who do not want to be exposed to the unforgiving rays of the sun during these months, you would like to engage in these interesting indoor activities.
1. Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo ($25 - $172)
This is one of the indoor activities that is really worth the money. You get to see different sea creatures, feed fish, have mini boat ride and an educational tour of the aquarium, go to the mini zoo where you actually get see other insects and animals. You even get to see penguins in the Middle East.
It all depends on the type of ticket you buy, however, purchasing the 'VIP Experiences' ticket at $85 (315 dirhams) will give you access to the main highlights at the aquarium and underwater zoo.
There is no need to use a travel and tour company for this, since they will charge commission and won't provide transport anyway.

2. At the Top, Burj Khalifa ($37 - $143)
Being the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa is worth its hype with the buitiful architecture and all its aesthetic qualities.
If you are interested in sightseeing then this is a must do in Dubai, because you get a clear view of various parts of the city at a good height.
But if you are not really into sightseeing and want an activity to do, then you can skip this tour and consider it later. There is nothing much to do, but there is a lot to see.

3. iFly Dubai (Starting at $60)
If you are afraid of real skydiving then you are covered with this indoor skydiving experience. This is mostly for thrill-seekers who have enough money to spare.
The price is not necessarily the issue, it's how each person defines 'value for money'. Paying $60 (220 dirhams) to stay in the air for just 2 minutes, and a maximum of about $108 (400 dirhams) for 4 minutes is subject to debate.
In any case, here is the criteria for partaking:
Contact them if you weigh less than 105kg (232 pounds) and are shorter than 180cm (5ft9).
Contact them if you weigh less than 115kg (254 pounds) and are taller than 180cm (5ft9).
3 years old and above (Younger flyers must be able to comfortably wear one of their helmets).
You can't participate if you are pregnant.
You can't participate if you have previously dislocated your shoulders.

4. La Perle ($70 - $275)
One of the great live shows to watch in Dubai. The performers visibly put in a lot of effort during this 85-minutes show without intermission. The show is suitable for ages 2 years and above. Regardless of age, all guests have to hold a valid ticket for admission.
It is advisable to buy the ticket yourself online, so that you can choose your preferred seat (the farther the better). Just take a taxi and get directions there. If you buy tickets through a third-party, you will not be able to chose your desired seat. Click here to buy tickets online.
However, you can also get tickets at the ticketing counter when you get there. It will be advisable to buy your ticket at least an hour before the show, and enter the theatre at least 30 minutes before show time.

5. The Emirates A380 Experience ($89 - $103)
For all the aspiring or wannabe pilots, this is your best chance to experience Dubai's best flight simulator.
If you booked an Emirates airline flight to Dubai, you will have a feel of how they took off from your country and landed in Dubai with all the landmarks and real-life scenery they were able to capture in their simulator.
Its powered by the Emirates airline, so you can be sure of the quality. Just take a taxi and go to the Dubai Mall, there's is no need to get tickets from any third-party. They usually have 30-minute and 1-hour sessions.

- Hysteria ($28)
This is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Horror movie fans and thrill-seekers will be delighted with this experience at the Dubai Mall. The 15-room mansion is a haunted house full of scary surprises.
Visitors younger than 13 years old must be accompanied by a parent.
On a more serious note, people with hypertensive problems or people who are susceptible to trauma should not try it.
